All day today, for twenty four whole hours, our Living Well Centre costs have been donated in loving memory of Joyce & Trevor Elliot with a ‘Pay for a Day’ donation.
Their granddaughter Steph told us: “Joyce spent her final few days at the Hospice back in July 2016 after a short battle with cancer. As a family, we will always be grateful for the care and compassion shown at St Cuthbert’s. The specialist dementia Admiral Nurse gave invaluable advice and help to all of the family including her husband Trevor. Trevor sadly passed away in November 2019. They were married for 60 years and today (31st December) was their wedding anniversary, so this seems the perfect day to celebrate their lives with “pay for a day”.
“We try to support the Hospice whenever we can and this year I was very proud to run the Great North Run as part of Team Cuthbert’s – thank you to everyone who sponsored me and helped us to mark this special day in Joyce & Trevor’s memory 💚”
