Running in Memory of Mum

This September Elliot Foster, 25, will be running the Great North Run in memory of his mum, Helen Foster, and to raise vital funds for St Cuthbert’s Hospice, Durham. He will be running in the place his mum had originally secured to run herself before being diagnosed with cancer.

Drawing Donated in Memory of Dad

This incredible drawing, inspired by time spent at St Cuthbert’s Hospice with her father, has been donated to us by artist Olwyn Reece. Olwyn’s father Ralph Reece was cared for at the Hospice in January 2019. Ralph was at St Cuthbert’s for just one afternoon before passing away peacefully age 88.

Our Durham City Shop is fondly dubbed the 'Selfridges of the North' due to its reputation for high quality, often designer pre-loved items. This autumn (2020) the shop will celebrate twenty years of trading. Lucille Thomson has volunteered there since its opening and shares a few memories from that time.
