All day today, for twenty four whole hours, our In-Patient Unit costs have been donated in loving memory of Karen Middlemiss with a ‘Pay for a Day’ donation. We share below the lovely words of Karen’s family:
“Karen Middlemiss, a true angel on earth. Our mam battled cancer twice but never once let it take the smile off her face, she was the most upbeat person I’ve ever met no matter how dark the day, always ready to make you smile. Karen was an amazing mam to three and wonderful wife to Howard for nearly 30 years. She spent a short time in St Cuthbert’s Hospice during her palliative care treatment, and they were able to get her symptoms managed in such a way which meant she could go to Dubai, and they even kept in contact while she was away to help her manage her pain. The team were a massive help and we cannot thank them enough for everything, we are incredibly grateful for the whole staff team and the wonderful work they continue to do for families like ours.”
