“Alison Atyeo died on 28th May 2020 after a short illness. During the latter stages of her life she received tremendous support and care from the staff at St Cuthbert’s Hospice.
“I came to this wonderful place of peace and tranquility, St Cuthbert’s Hospice. Everyone is so kind and helpful and trying to do their best for me”. – Extract from Alison’s diary in April 2020.
As a way of saying thank you we decided to organise, in Chester le Street an annual charity concert at the Salvation Army Citadel and a Christmas collection at Tesco. As a result of people’s generosity we were able to collect £3810.12 and we are so pleased that this has helped fund this wonderful Hospice for a day in memory of Alison whose birthday would have been today.”
– David Atyeo and Kath and Alan Taylor
All day today, for twenty four whole hours, our full clinical running costs have been donated in loving memory of Alison Atyeo with a ‘Pay for a Day’ donation. We are extremely grateful for this special donation, thank you to all who organised the event and attended in Alison’s memory.
