On Saturday 13th April, 26 fundraisers took part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks raising £7,856 for us!
The team conquered Pen Y Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, with 13 people managing to complete the whole challenge, in under 12 hours!
Trekkers included colleagues from Azets UK, Cyber White Digital Security Consultants, Clear Flow Water Treatment Limited and Durham County Cricket Club.
Community and Events Manager at St Cuthbert’s Hospice, Jade McArdle said:
“What a day! Our amazing fundraisers battled every weather imaginable in the Yorkshire dales to conquer their three-peak challenge! They showed incredible determination and all for a great cause. The group was made up of some fantastic local businesses as well as fundraisers who have personal connections to the Hospice, they were climbing for a cause close to their hearts and their resilience shone through on the day, even when the sun wasn’t shining!”
Paul Reeve of Sky Blue Adventures, guided the group to complete the challenge and is working in collaboration with the charity to host more challenge events this year:
“The weather was extremely challenging with 50mph winds and heavy rain throughout the day. The majority managed to complete the challenge in under 12 hours which was amazing considering the conditions.”

Up for the Challenge?
We have two further challenges this year, Hadrian’s Wall on Saturday 18th May 2024 and Mount Snowdon on Sunday 16th June 2024.
A non-refundable registration fee of £20 is required per challenge plus a commitment to raise £200 in sponsorship.
