The morning of Thursday 1st July was a milestone moment for us as we called the first-ever Win Win Lottery rollover winner. The call was made by nurse Julie and the question – ‘How do you feel?’ – was met with the response ‘Surely this isn’t a prank call? I can’t believe it – that’s life-changing!”
Julie said “It was such a privilege to make the call and share such wonderful news. It’s because of the support we get from people in our community that we’re able to care the way that we do. The winner has a strong connection with the Hospice which is just the icing on the cake for me. I’m smiling from ear to ear, and I know the winner is too!”
Since we launched the Win Win Lottery in June 2020 it has helped to raise over an incredible £85,000 to date. Vital funds that help us to continue to care for people with life-limiting illnesses, people who are at the end of life and bereaved families.
