Time is running out to secure tickets for County Durham’s first ever Bubble Rush, our 5k fun run through foam. The brand new event for the Hospice will take place on Saturday 6th July at St Leonard’s Playing Fields, Durham.
Hundreds of people have already signed up and we’re hoping to reach 1,000 participants. Jade McArdle Senior Community & Events Fundraiser said: “We’ve been so overwhelmed by the reaction and are thrilled that so many people are signing up. It’s something new for Durham and we’re excited to have so many people join us for fun in the foam.”
Foam cannons, bubble stations and a 4ft wall of suds are all part of the 5km Bubble Rush which can be ran or walked. The route is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, and there’s no minimum or maximum age limit: so everyone can take part!
Jade said: “St Cuthbert’s Hospice must raise over £2 million each year to continue to offer its many services, free of charge, to people in County Durham with life-limiting illnesses.”
“Every year the Hospice cares for hundreds of local people, we support them and their l
oved ones through what can be an incredibly difficult time. We simply couldn’t do this without the support of our local community. Each person who signs up to take part and raises sponsorship will be helping us to make every day count for those who need our care.”
