We are proud to announce that St Cuthbert’s Hospice has been shortlisted for an award by The Charity Times in the category of Human Resources Management. Now in their 17th year, the awards are run by Charity Times Magazine and aim to honour outstanding professionals in the many and varied fields of charity management.
Karen Grigg, Head of Human Resources at St Cuthbert’s Hospice said: “Thank you to Paul Marriott our Chief Executive for the nomination, it is brilliant news that we are shortlisted. We couldn’t do what we do without everyone’s support, all credit to the staff here at St Cuthbert’s Hospice!”
The Awards will honour charities in 30 diverse categories, with well over 100 different national and international charities shortlisted. St Cuthbert’s is one of 5 hospice’s to have gained an exciting nomination.
Tracey Bleakley, Chief Executive at national hospice care charity Hospice UK, said: “It takes a variety of people with a variety of skills to make excellent end of life care a reality in our communities.
“When we think of hospices, many of our first thoughts are of the dedicated clinical staff but it is important to remember that every team in the hospice works tirelessly to make sure that the people who need their support, get the very best care possible.
“I am truly delighted to see areas including hospice fundraising, human resources and communications recognised in this year’s Charity Times Awards shortlist. The dedication and innovation represented by these nominations is a wonderful reminder of the amazing contribution that the hospice sector offers to society at large, as well as to local communities.”
The winners will be announced at the Charity Times Awards Ceremony on 28 September 2016 in London.
