Our gardens are blooming gorgeous of course and as former gold medal winners, we’re kind of hoping our efforts will help Durham win another title in the Britain in Bloom competition. Here’s a pic of some of our volunteer gardeners who give such quiet pleasure to our patients. The gardens are designed so they can be enjoyed by patients in their rooms and their walkways are wide enough for wheelchairs and even beds. Family members, staff, volunteers and visitors too are all able to share in the simple joy of looking at flowers. We must all be predisposed to prettiness. Thanks gardeners, and let’s hope your efforts are recognised by the judges
