‘Absolutely devastated’: Inside Durham hospice battling £1.3m black hole
We wish we had welcomed the Channel 4 News team under better circumstances, but to be able to shine a light on the difficulties we and other hospices are facing was so very important. The news which aired on Monday 27th January shows footage taken earlier this month when the crew spent a whole day with us.
We’re incredibly grateful to the patients who kindly agreed to take part, and of course our thoughts are very much with Alan’s family We also extend our huge thanks to staff who bravely stood in front of the cameras, some knowing they were working their last shifts with us.
We need your support now more than ever.
We simply wouldn’t exist without the kindness of people in our community and now we need you to help us continue to care. Every act of generosity will help to secure the future of St Cuthbert’s Hospice and make sure we can continue to care for all who need us.
