Hospice forced to consider cuts to staffing and care provision amid spiralling costs

Festive Fundraising
Thank you to Diane Hall from Swinburne Maddsion for visiting the Hospice and making a donation following the company's Christmas Jumper Day for us. Swinburne Maddison also collected toys to give to our patients families and the children and young people who access our bereavement counselling service.
Man Up Durham Raise Funds
Walkers from the Men's Wellbeing Walking Group Man Up Durham raised £200 for the Hospice in December, walking up from the Neighbourhood Cafe in Durham to present the money to our team at the Hospice.
Photography Competition
We're looking for budding photographers to enter their images to our competition! You'll be in with the chance of being featured in our hugely popular Calendar and Christmas Cards which are sent to thousands of households across County Durham and further afield!

Students Raise £20,000
Compass Fashion Show 2024, a charity fashion show held by students at South College, Durham University has raised over £9,000 for local charity St Cuthbert’s Hospice.
Supporting the Hospice as their chosen charity since their inaugural fashion show, the college students have now raised over £20,000 for the Hospice.
St Cuthbert’s Hospice to receive Chelsea Flower Show garden in 2025
The Hospice UK Garden of Compassion will celebrate the important role of hospice gardens in end-of-life care. The garden will be created by award-winning designer Tom Hoblyn and is sponsored by Project Giving Back, a charity that funds ‘gardens for good causes’ at Chelsea.
