Students Raise £20,000
Compass Fashion Show 2024, a charity fashion show held by students at South College, Durham University has raised over £9,000 for local charity St Cuthbert’s Hospice.
Supporting the Hospice as their chosen charity since their inaugural fashion show, the college students have now raised over £20,000 for the Hospice.
St Cuthbert’s Hospice to receive Chelsea Flower Show garden in 2025
The Hospice UK Garden of Compassion will celebrate the important role of hospice gardens in end-of-life care. The garden will be created by award-winning designer Tom Hoblyn and is sponsored by Project Giving Back, a charity that funds ‘gardens for good causes’ at Chelsea.

This week we join hospices up and down the country to shine a light on our charity shops. People in Durham donate and buy thousands of amazing items in our shops every week. Without people shopping sustainably and supporting our shops, we simply couldn’t provide the compassionate care so many rely on in our community.
