At the Hospice, we're so very grateful for the generosity of those who remember us in their Will. Gifts of any size really do make such a difference. It’s a special way of continuing to support a charity close to your heart even after you have gone.
Making a Will
Making a Will might be at the bottom of your to do list, but it’s important to consider getting one in place. The peace of mind for you and your loved ones will make it worthwhile. It’s one of the best things you can do to make sure your wishes are known, and your loved ones are looked after. It’s also a special way to support the charities which are close to your heart.
Reasons to make a Will:
- You can provide financial security for your loved ones.
- You can make sure your children (and not forgetting your pets!) are looked after by people you trust.
- You can help avoid upset or conflict for those left behind by making sure your wishes are known.
- You can reduce or avoid losses to Inheritance Tax (Always seek professional advice.)
- It allows you to decide who will look after your affairs when you are gone.
- You can make a gift to charities that are close to your heart, reflecting your personal values and interests, letting your legacy live on.
Be part of our future through a gift in your Will
When making your Will loved ones will always come first, however if you choose to leave a gift to us we would be very grateful. It can be your present to the future, the gift of comfort and care to future generations. If you have already kindly left us a gift in your Will and would be happy to share this with us in confidence, then please get in touch. We would love the opportunity to thank you and let you know the difference your gift can make.
As a token of our appreciation for those who choose to leave a gift in their Will to the Hospice, a personalised Forever Leaf will be placed on our In Memory Tree in our In Memory Garden, a lasting tribute to treasure forever.
Every gift left to us in a Will is special and personal. Behind these kind and generous gifts are supporters, all who have their own story and many who have a special connection to St Cuthbert’s Hospice, click here to read Barbara and Barry’s story.
Free Will Writing Offer
Making a Will can be costly, which is why many people choose not to make one. To help with this, we are currently working with a selection of local solicitors who have kindly agreed to provide a free basic Will writing offer for our supporters.
