About the role
We are pleased to advertise this exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for dementia care to join our team at St Cuthbert’s Hospice as Namaste Coordinator. St Cuthbert’s Hospice recognises dementia as a life limiting condition and promotes living and dying well with dementia. We believe that Namaste care can play a crucial role in enhancing quality of life for people with advanced dementia and are proud to offer this service.
With the support of the Admiral Nurse and volunteers the successful candidate will coordinate the Namaste Service providing support to people with advanced dementia, their families and carers.
To apply we request that you have experience of working with people with dementia and possess a NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in health and social care. The role will include working in the community including people’s own homes and will require independent travel across Durham. Compassion, empathy and excellent communication skills are essential to the role. This post will subject to DBS screening.
