‘Absolutely devastated’: Inside Durham hospice battling £1.3m black hole

We wish we had welcomed the Channel 4 News team under better circumstances, but to be able to shine a light on the difficulties we and other hospices are facing was so very important. The news which aired on Monday 27th January shows footage taken earlier this month when the crew spent a whole day with us.

We’re incredibly grateful to the patients who kindly agreed to take part, and of course our thoughts are very much with Alan’s family  💚  We also extend our huge thanks to staff who bravely stood in front of the cameras, some knowing they were working their last shifts with us.
