WILLS, power of attorney and funerals will be among the topics discussed during a series of workshops in County Durham this year.
St Cuthbert’s Hospice is delivering free ‘Everything in Place’ sessions in Spennymoor and Chester-le-Street to encourage people to plan ahead for greater peace of mind.
The six –session course covers important end of life topics namely, wills, power of attorney, future care needs, funerals and organ donation, as well as tips on how to have challenging conversations and support people during difficult times.
Louise Johnson, Community Liaison Officer at the Hospice, said: “Please come along and find out about the importance of getting your paperwork in order while you still have full mental capacity, which can so easily be lost by illness or accident.
“We understand this is not easy to think about, but we can support you to get ‘Everything in Place’ and get on living your life to the full.”
The workshops will be held at Chester-le-Street Library in Station Road from 1pm to 3pm on Friday May 27, June 24, July 29, August 26, September 30 and October 28.
Sessions will also be held at St Paul’s Centre in St Paul’s Gardens, Spennymoor, from 1pm to 3pm on Tuesday, June 7, July 5, August 2, September 6, October 4 and November 1.
